[Pre-Order Item] Volvo FH Flatbed and Load -Robert Porter -Fraserburgh, Scotland Robert Porter Transport Ltd was formed in 1988 by Robert and his wife Laura. Roberts' passion for haulage developed when he grew tiresome in his job as a crane driver at Peterhead's Cranes Co. It was in fact his boss, Roger Tailor, who introduced him to truck driving, allowing Robert to drive the company vehicle. That was until Roger had to sell it. Robert was so disappointed at the loss of the truck that he decided to purchase his own. Once again, boss Roger stepped in and helped him to purchase his first truck, a Scania 112 Wendy House. Robert then went on to purchase a Scania 142, followed by a Scania 143, moving onto a Volvo 2FHR. His son Neil joined the husband and wife team in 2009, yielding to Robert's beliefs that "you need young blood to keep this going". However, sixty seven year old driver, "Paddy Allen" is also a valued member of the team. Most of their haulage is for the oil work and fish industry. This model, featuring an electric cable load, is Robert's 5th truck.
