Revell are launching two 1:24 scale `London
Icons': the classic AEC Routemaster (RML) and
the FX4 London Black Cab, both of which are
synonymous with the great City of London.

Introduced in 1956, the Routemaster doubledecker
bus was built by Associated Equipment
Company (AEC) and saw continuous service
until 2005, although two heritage routes
currently operate them in central London.

The pioneering design, featuring an open
platform, although exposed to the elements,
allows boarding and alighting away from stops,
while the presence of a conductor combines
minimal boarding time with optimal security.
